A DNA Consultation is a great option for those who are considering taking a DNA test. It is also perfect for someone who has taken a DNA test, but doesn’t know what to do next.

A DNA consultation consists of three virtual meetings, spaced out over approximately two months. During these meetings, you will be provided with an easy to follow, step-by-step process. You will also receive proven tools and templates to set you up for success.

You will learn how to:

• Triple or quadruple your matches
• Identify your best matches
• Contact your matches. But more importantly, how to get them to respond
• Rule out hypothesis using traditional genealogy

Regardless of where you tested, or how many matches you have, this process can work for you. Generally, this process works best if you are trying to identify an ancestor within the past six generations. DNA certainly can provide genealogical evidence beyond the last six generations, but the number of matches and amount of DNA shared will be greatly reduced.

This consultation is also helpful to those who have endogamy in their family tree. As one who has a lot of endogamy in my own tree, I have worked through this process myself. It won’t be easy, and depending on your research objective, it can work. The free initial consultation is the fist step to determine if this consultation is right for you.

As with any genealogy research, there is no guarantee that you will meet your research objective. Success can depend on others who have tested. We can work to identify potential testers who would be the key to solving your research puzzle. But the skills you will learn can be applied to any DNA research, and you can continue to repeat the process until you meet your research objective.
