Reed Genealogy

I descend from two seemingly separate Reed lines: one paternal and one maternal.

My paternal Reed line consists of three siblings.

• John Reed > Jean (Reed) Imbrie > David Reed Imbrie > Nancy Smith (Imbrie) Clark [Line 3]
• Rebecca (Reed) Acheson > Lydia Jane (Acheson) Clark > William McKee Clark [Line 2]
• Nancy (Reed) Clark > Esther (Clark) Smith > Nancy (Smith) Johnston > Nancy Reed (Johnston) Imbrie > Nancy Smith (Imbrie) Clark

Their parentage has recently been attributed to David Reed and Jennie Culbertson of Martic Twp., Lancaster County. Nancy (Reed) Clark is also said to be a daughter of Capt. John Reed of Lancaster County [not Capt John Reed of the Flying Camp, who was younger than his alleged daughter, Nancy. Work continues to confirm their parentage.

My maternal Reed line were early settlers in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
